Our Story

Dear Stranger, Friend, or Family Member:

A woman known for her homemade granola— once a girl who caught the eye of misfit boys, inspiring love at first sight.

Alecandrea and her husband have always been inseparable. His admission: her beauty motivated him to pursue a lifestyle centered around well-being. Seeking longevity, efficiency, peacefulness and strength for he and his, the young couple forged a relationship that soon blossomed into an all-American family, set against a modern landscape.

Even during her first pregnancy, Alecandrea maintained a focus on personal higher food standards. “No French fries,” she and her husband opted for something better.

An understanding of food’s lasting impact guided their choices.

Years later, her husband rises early to feed their family, preparing for a day of labor under the Arizona sun. She serves him four eggs alongside a whole milk yogurt parfait (with sliced Granny Smith apple instead of the usual fresh strawberries). As he finishes the nourishment, she glances at the faceless granola bag’s ingredients.

“Babe, you know this has canola oil in it?”

He responds, “Seriously? No.”

Trying to lighten the mood, she says, “I was going to buy more today. Should I check the ingredients for some other brands?”

In frustration, he quietly replies, “No need. I’ve checked them all.”

An inexplicable feeling of being controlled settles over the common person when they realize there’s no escape from being poisoned—breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Knowing they pass on this reality to their children, against their will, feels like a crushing defeat, even if only for a moment.

What happened to loving people? What happened to feeding people what they should eat? We believe in loving people. People eat food. We believe in personal higher food standards.

Food should taste good. Food should be good. Food can be love.

That's WHY We Make This 'Nola!
